To better understand the significance of this record, it must be stressed that this is the first time that an Asian group and male singers (except Japanese) ranked first and the second time for a Korean singer to place 1st in the Oricon weekly single chart. BoA was the first Korean singer to place 1st in the weekly chart in 2005.
Meanwhile, expectations are high for TVXQ’s new album “T,” which will be released on the 23rd.
The CD and CD+DVD versions of “Purple Line” will also be available in Korea on January 23.
